This camera meets all the benefits for those who shoot a strong point of "little and wants to" camera speed and excellent image quality. What distinguishes it from other devices in this category is the wide-angle lens. She can not fit into the picture especially group shots and landscapes. Also, because of the wide-angle lens, you can zoom in on your shots without cutting off objects or people on the edges. Most other ultra compact devices do not offer this feature. I have used other Canon wide-angle compact - the SD870IS and loved it. This new model adds many improvements to this model: 10 megapixels, the fast and powerful DIGIC 4 processor, motion detection, 4x optical zoom, intelligent contrast, self timer with face detection and a smaller size for pocketability. Although it is an excellent point and shoot "is also a function of the packaging and can be manually adjusted with various options and settings if you wish.

Things to look for another device in the compact / ultra compact category:
- Image quality, of course,
- Image Stabilizatiin the hands of unstable countries do not spoil the shot
- The latency for faster shutter speed and a plan at the time
- Face detection software
- Well, no optical zoom (digital zoom only)
- Battery
- Large LCD display
- Mega enough to enlarge and crop images as needed. In addition to print larger pictures.

This camera has all the above.

PROS:
Wide Angle
Excellent image quality
10 Megapixels
Image Stabilization
Face and a timer with face detection
Ultra Compact
Fast DIGIC 4 start - almost immediate early and plan to
4-times optical zoom and 4x digital zoom
Large 3-inch LCD screen
Motion detection
Intelligent Contrast
Several pre-programmed modes for the best suitable image image
Simple operation and interface
Cute

CONS:
No viewfinder (LCD). Some prefer viewfinder - personal preference.
It may be too small for some people - again personal preference.
No CheAP ... But it is a good value. You can spend more money, but you get a lot more.

Canon PowerShot SD880IS
10.0 million pixels allows for greater freedom when editing and printing

Since I am doing as much zoom, go with the SX10 IS from Canon. One not only an image stabilizer, including opening / shutter priority. If I pay a lot of money for a point, and I would definitely off the function where I can set the shutter speed and aperture. This camera is excellent in batteries. 20x optical zoom, 10 megapixels.
As simple as you say, leave the camera automatically or buy another camera of high quality Canon SD1100 IS.
